Vacay to LA

Before I head back to work, we thought why not go on a family vacation?! So Ray and I took K & T to LA for some family fun in the sun! Little did I know that going on vacation would be more tiring than staying at home! I tell ya, the driving in LA traffic (even if I didn't drive at all) was brutal, and traveling is just not the same anymore with K & T in tow. However, I have to admit that going to LA was more than worth it! We were able to do so many things that we would not have been able to do in Vancouver like:

Riding the bus (Okay, this was just the bus to our rental car, but K was still excited!)

Showing K & T Ray's family's home in Redondo Beach.

Taking pictures with beautiful scenery in the background (That's Newport Beach. I wished we had gone down to the shore, but K & T were sleeping.)

Seeing and spending time with Lolo Ed.

Visiting Tita Gviv, Tito Patrick, Tracey, Peter, and Gerry.

Celebrating Tita Agnes's birthday.

Eating and eating with the Esmases, Mendozas, and Erginas.

Going to Disneyland (Thanks to Tito Pete!). Although we only rode three rides, it was all worth it. Karch got to see Buzz Lightyear. To infinity and beyond!

Staying with Tito Greg (Thanks for the hospitality!).

Swimming and relaxing in the beach for the first time at Manhattan Beach.

Seeing the Sepulvedas (Thanks to Apple for our stay at Santa Monica!).

Spending quality time with Uncle Mark, Tita Riza, and Julia.

After six days of fun, sun, Disneyland, beach, Reese Witherspoon hunting, and family, we were all exhausted.

Now it's back to life, back to reality, back to work!

Chuck E Cheese

Mason, Karchy and Tessa's friend, turned five and had a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. It was Karch and Tessa's first time at CEC. Ray was working, so I had to take the kids out solo. It was a challenge, but thank goodness there were lots of helping hands!

Karch had a blast exploring every nook and cranny of CEC, while Tessa and I had fun observing and chasing after K all over the place. *

Thanks to Mason for hosting an awesome party!

A Belated Happy Birthday to Mike

Karchy and Tessa's Uncle Mike celebrated his birthday yesterday! We're greeting him one day late, but nonetheless cheers to Uncle Mike! Happy Birthday, and we hope to see you soon...

Here's Mike with our BILs Anton and Ed on Karchy's first birthday.

Playing Tag

I was tagged by my cousin, Hoolie. So, here some facts about me...

10 Years Ago: August 1998
I just graduated from high school. I came home from a month of being in NYC with a friend and then prepared for university.

5 Years Ago: August 2003
Ray and I were still dating. I was just finishing my Bachelor of Education program and got hired at a local international school in Vancouver.

5 months Ago: March 2008
We were preparing for Karch and Tessa's double celebration. Karch turned two, and Tessa was baptised. We also hosted two international students, and I taught ESL during Spring Break.

5 Things on My List of Things to Do Tomorrow
1. Get my haircut and coloured.
2. Go to a job interview.
3. Call Maytag.
4. Go to a birthday party.
5. Pack.

5 Places I've lived
I haven't lived in 5 places, I've only lived in two: Canada and the Philippines.

5 Things People Don't Know About Me:

1. I think giving birth to K & T were easier than the first few weeks of taking care of them.
2. I'm a big Reese Witherspoon fan.
3. I want to do my M.Ed in Special Education...one day.
4. I get my house cleaned at least once a month.
5. I haven't drank an ounce of alcohol since my wedding day.

I don't really know any bloggers, so I guess I can't really tag anyone. So whoever blogs and reads this, I tag you!

Welcome to Sodor...

Today, K, T, and I and went to a local garden store where they have a Thomas train that tours customers around the store's vicinity. This store is excellent for kids, as they even have an outdoor play area and cars and bikes for children to use while parents look around. I wish every place I go to have these perks! The kids, especially Karchy, had an awesome time; except, of course, when it was time to go home. Karch threw a tantrum and made me chase him around the store, and one of the store clerks had to carry Tessa for me while I dragged Karch out of the store and put him in his carseat. Yeah, fun times. Nonetheless, it was all worth it since Karch has been wanting to go for what seems like forever now to see the trains!

Happy 10 months, Tessa!

It's Tessa's 10-monthday today! Yay for Tessa, but boo for me...I'm going back to work in less than three weeks! Yikes!
