A Weekend In Seattle

This weekend, we went to Seattle to celebrate Lorraine's birthday. Lorraine's birthday only comes once in four years (She's a leap year baby!), so she definitely deserved to celebrate. Not only were we able to spend time with friends, but we were also able to enjoy an overnight stay at the W courtesy of Lorraine and Mike and Monika and Jeffrey (Thanks guys!). Oh, and thanks to my mom who came with us to help with K & T.

Lor comes for a visit

Lorraine, one of my best friends, stayed at our place for three nights because of school commitments. Although she rarely comes to the 'burbs to visit, she has compensated by staying over this week. It was nice to have some adult company past dinner time and before 1 am (That's the time Ray usually comes home)! Here's Lor "falling asleep" with Karch for the camera.

Views from Cloverdale

This was our view before the construction started on our street and why we fell in love with our house: This is our view right now and why I sometimes wish I lived in the houses they are building (The houses are newer than mine!) and why Karch loves trucks and anything to do with construction (Trucks and construction machines are all over our street!):

This is the view I see when I walk Karch and Tessa on a sunny day:

Yeah, I know I shouldn't complain too much. Even if the developers have taken our view, I know I can always walk around and see the mountain range. I heart Cloverdale!

Tessa's First Laugh

I haven't uploaded a video before, but here it goes.

Tessa laughed for the first time this weekend. She was laughing on her own as I was tickling her, but, when I took the camera out, she made me work for her laugh! Excuse the baby talk. Enjoy Tessa's first giggles!

This week so far...

Saturday: Tessa was all dressed up (Excuse the leg warmers. I didn't want to put tights on her, so I put on the next best thing. Hey, at least, it'll keep her warm and make changing her diaper easier!) for our mini outing to Vancouver. It's only a 45 minute drive, but you know how it is with kids?! Any drive more than 10 minutes is considered LONG! Ray, Karch, Tessa, and I went to Granville Island to have some lunch with some friends.
Jeff, one of Tessa's godfathers, pose with Tessa during lunch.

Tuesday: On his way back to Toronto, Tito Ike visited us this week. It's always great to have family visit us. Too bad, Tessa was already asleep when we took these pictures.

Wednesday: As many of you all know, it rains A LOT here in Vancouver. But at last, the sun came out. After what felt like forever of being indoors after naptime, we came out to release some energy at the park.

Thursday: We didn't do much this Valentine's Day, but I did get some flowers. While Ray was getting the van tuned up (Yes, on Valentine's Day!), K, T, and I went for a walk as usual. Check out Tessa's drool, I think she's starting to teeth! Yikes!

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: Ray was off, so we went everyday as a family. Oh and thanks to Craigslist we were able to sell our table! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Tito Al's Visit

Last week, Ray's uncle, Tito Al, stopped by on his way from the Philippines to Toronto. Although he was here for only one day, it was great seeing him. We haven't seen him since we visited Toronto in 2006. This was his first time meeting Tessa. Thanks for visiting, Tito Al!

Bumbo Seat Trial

I tried Tessa on the Bumbo seat, since she is already three months old and will be four months this Saturday. However, her head was still a little bit floppy. Oh well, we'll try again next week!

Karchy Hearts Swimming and Dogs!

Today, Karchy had his first swimming lesson at the Y, our new hangout! Ray took him. It was nice to see Ray and Karch spend some quality time together while Tessa and I sat on the sidelines.

Yesterday, my SIL and her boyfriend, Dan, got a new pug, SPOONS! Karchy was in dog heaven. Karchy loved playing with him and did not even flinch when Spoons went to him. He is made to be a dog owner, but only when he's older. Ray and I are not ready for another baby!
