March Highlights

We have been so busy with visitors that I haven't been posting. So, besides our double celebration, we had a few more March highlights:

Hosting homestay students:
Aby's extended visit:

Remembering Lola Vima with family and friends:

Tessa's First Solids:

Karchy's first Easter Egg Hunt (Thanks to the Hupperts for hosting such a fun-filled event!):

It's been a busy March, but we'll definitely have a busy April as well. We are hosting another homestay student for the entire month. Plus, we have registered ourselves for our annual neighbourhood garage sale! Our garage is so full that we haven't parked our cars in it ever since we moved in. Have an awesome weekend, everyone!

Double Treat

As all of you know, Karch's Birthday was on the 14th. We were so excited about his gift that, when he woke up in the middle of night (He still doesn't sleep through the night!), we gave it to him right away.

Karch celebrated his actual birthday in a very mellow way. We went out for lunch and then we had some ice cream cake after dinner in the evening. Karch celebrated his special day with Sabrina, a friend who helps us from time to time with T & K.

Although Karch's actual birthday was really quiet, we celebrated both Tessa's Baptism and Karch's Birthday all on Saturday. So, it was double the work but double the treat. Aby (my SIL and Tessa's godmother) and Uncle Julio (Tessa's godfather), Tita Marilou, and Madi came from Toronto to celebrate this special day with us. Thanks for flying to celebrate with us, guys!

Welcome to the Christian world, Tessa!

Happy Birthday, Karchy! The cake is hidden by all the chafing dishes!

Love, love this picture with Madi and T & K
Our double celebration turned out well. The stress was worth it. Good times and good company all day long! Our next big party is in October for Tessa's 1st Birthday. I have plenty of time to rest and prepare. A cupcake birthday is the theme, any ideas?!

Panic Mode

Oh no, Karchy's Birthday and Tessa's Baptism is coming up in three days! Ask me if I've done anything related to party-prepping. I've done nada! Wish me luck as these three days will be stressful, stressful, stressful...

Daddy Time

The kids have been semi-stuck in the house. We have been battling a cold and cough that just won't go away. Fortunately, the K & T are getting better. Nonetheless, Ray decided to take the day off today, so he could be stuck in the house too and of course to spend the day with us. Here they are spending some "play" time with him.

Cookies, cookies, and more cookies

Karch's 2nd Birthday and Tessa's Baptism are coming up, so we've been busy prepping for this double celebration! This weekend, thanks to my friend Patrizia, Tessa and I were able to have their party giveaways ready. Yes, I've decided to give cookies as part of Karch and Tessa's party favours. We baked more than 300 chocolate chip cookies! I would not have been able to do this without Zia's help! Not only were we able to bake, but we were also able to catch up. Baking with Zia (and Massey, Zia's Spaniel) will definitely be something Tessa and I will do again!

Oh and here's a picture of Karchy ... just because...
